I just remember being able to get to anywhere I needed off I-4.
Well, since I am now living on the Space Coast...
-You should try to see the Astronaut Museum or the NASA Visitor's Center, both are very good. The shuttle may be out on the pad for the upcoming April 5 launch. There are precious few opportunities left to see them.
Try Cocoa Village for an 'artsy' laid back community with a great riverfront.
