    Question What do YOU do?

Maybe there was a thread about this in the past, no idea (didn't find a recent one, anyway). But out of interest and curiosity, here are my questions:

    1) What is your job/occupation?
    2) Do you like it?
    3) If you had the opportunity to change it, would you and to what?

Many of you know that I am a graphic designer, and yes I love it. I wouldn't change it, but if I had to, I would want to be an astronaut because I am into astronomy and think it would be SO awesome to travel into space. So... what about you guys and girls?

Well, I own my own business that covers everything from beaded jewelry to handmade gift bags and basket for every occasion. I love it because I worked retail for 13 years wanting so badly to be at home and own my own. If I had to chose something else, I would be a famous singer/rapper/dancer....called Triple Threat records!!!

    I legally break and enter.
I wish it was less risky - never know what (or who) might be waiting inside. This week I've been exposed to a badly molded property and a high hantavirus infestation risk, as well as being way out in the sticks with fresh mountain lion tracks all over the place. Those are a concern but the biggest one is the human factor - so far - so good.

If I could I would be building earth based positive energy housing.

hmmm, WC, you gotta tell what you mean by "leagally break an enter" ,,, intresting!!

ok, I'm in public health education. Work for a coalition of org's closely tied to a local hospital an the state health dept. Try to get out info on stuff from nutrition programs (WIC) to prenatal health to smoking education (my personal #1 issue - hate tobacco!!!),to std prevention/treatmt to stuff like h1n1... LOVE MY JOB!!! If couldn't do this? hmm, might go back to bein a PI - loved bustin folks who file false disability claims w/ Workman's Comp. guess my sense of fair play is outraged by that. Gave me a real 'zing' to show up in court w/ a video of em dancin or huntin or farmn when they claim to be bedridden

I'm a Machine Operator and I put together Readers Digest & Prevention Magazines before they come to your mailbox. I run, fix, maintain the equipment.

Yeah, I like it. It's definately *ME*

The only thing I'd want to change is the work schedule. I hate working weekends and I hate shift work.

I graduated college with Commercial Art/Graphics degree. That didn't go anywhere. I kinda wished I could've gotten into Engineering. Just not sure I'm smart enough for that....(I suck at really really technical math)

I'm temporarily an ESL teacher. Definitely has its ups and downs. I like being IN the classroom, but everything else associated with being a teacher can get annoying.

My dream job would be an orca trainer.

I'm a department manager in retail, just got promoted to that from a position where I was in charge of cashiers. I enjoy it, but I got tired of that last position pretty quickly so we'll see how long this keeps me entertained. If the company I'm with keeps promoting me at the rate it has been (which is quite possible, they like me) then I may find a job that holds my interest long-term. If not, option two.
Option two being grad school, getting my PhD, and being a Spanish Lit professor at a research institution. That's the ideal reality, but I'm working on making it happen. I didn't learn Spanish Phonetics for nothing.

I'm the accounting manager for a county social services agency.

I like it mainly because I have great people who make my job that much easier. Been here close to 15 years so there isn't much I haven't come across.

In another life I had dreams of being an attorney. I could have made a good corporate attorney, but a pretty lousy litigator.

I've had people tell me I would have made a pretty good teacher.
