Question Anyone else had a case of baby fever??

I know in reality that right now would be a bad time to have a baby but I have really really bad baby fever right now. My nephew turned 1 today (and my sister is 8 years younger than me) and it seems like everyone i know is either trying to have a baby, pregnant or just had a baby...

When I wasn't feeling good last week the beau asked me if I was pregnant. I'm not but I have baby fever!! I keep reminding myself why I don't have a child but does anyone else have or have you had baby fever??

The fact that I'm getting closer to 30 isn't helping either...

Ooooh I have the OPPOSITE of baby fever. lol. Like almost anyone, when I see a cute baby I just want to snuggle it and go ohhh wouldn't it be neat to do this all the time. But... I remind myself that babies don't stay babies for very long.

In the blink of an eye there is a child there, then a bratty teenager that thinks you are irrelevent :P

I have a child I LOVE MY CHILD more than LIFE itself.... but its not all ruffly prams and the sweet scent of johnsons baby lotion in the air... that is but a flash in the pan compared to the length of time you spend picking up dirty socks in the hall way and try to maintain your composure when they are screaming 'i hate you , i wish you weren't my mom' when you tell them you can't buy them a pet llama :P

I know I know , there is a whole lot of joy in the midst of that , that makes it all worth it... but whenever I think awww baby... I remind myself of the everything that goes along with it

LOL Dont' get me wrong. I know children are a lot of work. I remember how I was and I was a "good kid" so I can imagine if I get some sort of hellraiser to deal with...

It's just wanting to move forward I think... Finishnig up school has brought me to the realization that in some ways I've committed to putting my life on hold the last 3 years and now this last upcoming year.

I don't regret it and it's a tradeoff since many of my friends with babies are now trying to go back to school. It's just something that I am afraid that due to timing, may not happen.

I can't change it. I just need to babysit more or something I guess.

I get baby fever when I watch funny baby clips on America's funniest home videos. But other than that I want nothing to do with kids.

lol. . . I have baby fever bad too. when i had it a couple years ago i found out my now exhusband was sterile and hid the test results from me. so i was ticked off AND wanted a baby i couldn't have. now that my life has settled down and i'm with a great man i have the fever again. when we started dating we talked about the possiblity of having kids, but nixed it, we are not young. i'm 30 and he's 49. 3 kids between the 2 of us. but we are so open with communication(never had that before), it's so nice to talk to him about what i want. A BABY!. well his baby that's what it boils down to. lol... but we want to wait another 6-8 months then start trying. now that i have a plan i feel better about seeing all my friends have babies.

Try taking in foster kids - it gives you a chance to do some good, and to see what it is like to have a child in the house. Wife and I tried this, and decided that we absolutely didn't want children.

30 isn't some sort of line you cross and it's too late. It has a lot to do with your general health, diet, lifestyle and your partner's as well. I had my kids at 33 and 36 with no problems or concerns whatever. I know women who were 40 and had no problems, I've also known 20 somethings that had nothing but. It has to do with so much more than age. I think you make a better parent if you wait.

Why not work on getting in the best shape you can? Educate yourself on healthy eating habits stress reduction. Get your bills paid down as much as you can. Then go for it a couple years?

Honestly,I can't wait to have babies!!! Feels like i have baby fever every time i see one. Hehe But i plan on waiting til im in my 20's thats for sure.Kids are ALOT of work, and ofcourse they grow up and think they know it all. lol But every time i babysit,or see the baby whom i have watched grow up,i get really really excited at the thought of me having one,or two,or three when i get older and when i am ready for them.(Wich wont be for a very very very long time ofcourse!) I just dont like the thought of having children when i am still a child myself.
