I have always loved cars, and have for two years driven a classic LandRover. My ex never minded the 120 decibel diesel engine, constant leaks and interior puddle formations in the rain, the thick smell of diesel fumes in the cabin (or frying oil depending on the finanicial climate :-P) and burning oil from the leaking engine onto the exhuast, the top speed of 62mph and deathly slow acceleration, and the metal floored, metal sided interior! So I hope any future girls will put up with my dream vehicle!

Unfortunatley the same week we split up, I got a fault costing me £900, thats $1,383 to you Americans. For a 32 year old vehicle with 174,000 miles on it, its to be expected. But its a love affair, I love that old tank, so will pay out.

I guess we all need something to be passionate about!

A long term passion is great. Be careful, new passions may be jealous of old passions and want to get rid of the competition. But, I still have my first car that I bought 28 years ago. As far some of your other thoughts, I think you are far from over your gf. You are vulnerable to a rebound relationship at this time. If you were in love as much as I think you were, it could take months, with various stages. Even years later you will become sad for a short time, thinking of what might have been, if you are like me in that sense. Just remember, it wasn't meant to be.

I loved an ancient 650 BSA. Bet she leaked as much oil as the Rover.
She broke my heart, tho, and I'll never love another...

When I win the lotto I plan on dropping some big bills for a 1967 Shelby GT500.

I don't have a particular car that I love...But I love my boyfriends 2009 R1 Raven. It's a beautiful motorcycle. I have decided that I will never object to my s/o having a motorcycle, so long as they take me out on occasion.

I need to get stuff sorted on mine. I never really liked driving my mates, family and the girl I ADORED, with static seatbelts with a broken adjuster meaning they are only one size. That said it has passed an MOT with them like that, so they cant be a danger. I need to find a way of fitting inertia reels low down, so I can change the roofs depending on my current preference, its currently a Van, but has been a pickup before.

I'd never have driven people, if I knew it was dangerous.
