uh... that would be an individual thing.
My girlfriend keeps kicking my butt at every boardgame!
Are girls just naturally good at boardgames or is it an individual thing?

Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.

lol, figures.
It's so frustrating sometimes. We've always had some friendly rivalry, especially in boardgames. She's typically gotten the better of it, but recently the games have gotten more lopsided. Last weekend after losing at scrabble, scattergories, and speed (card game) like 4x in a row....i got out the checkers board. Neither of us had played checkers since kids. After 3 straight wins she couldnt hold back and just burst into laughter.

hehe!! I have never been a competitive person, but since my boyfriend and his family enjoy the odd games evening, I become sooooo competitive! ha! Whever i play card games with my boyfriend, im 9 times out of 10 the loser - so when im playing infront of the family - thats when the cheating begins. haha!

I've never lost at Grand Master Mind.
I play a killer game of Risk, mostly because I don't care if I win or lose, so I take a risk. I'll take 5 guys against 20 and win the country. Drives the more conventional players nuts. "You aren't supposed to be able to do that."
I do well at Boggle and Scrabble because I have an extensive vocabulary of archaic words. They get challenged and not being words or not English and out comes the big Websters and there it is, Eng.
Not good at things like Trivial Pursuit because I have no idea about TV shows, actors, or musicians.

My favorite board game is Mouse Trap!!!!!!
I'm also good at Scrabble........as well as Monopoly! I'm undefeated in Candy Land btw!!
I like a good game of Chess too.
We play a lot of Uno, which I have the winning record on.
I always lose at Monopoly, it drives me nuts, I have no idea why I always lose.
Trivial Pursuit, I LOVE! But I like the classic one, the others ones are all too subject based. I'm looking for the classic one to buy for camping trips this summer, oh, and a cribbage board.

Hehe we haven't tried Grand Master Mind, although the game is quite old i think i have heard of it. Maybe its next on the challenge menu.
Oh wow that you mentioned risk! We played Risk over the weekend and your description matches it perfect. I'll put like 18 armies on 1 territory. ill attack hers with only 5 armies and shell still take all my armies. Argh!! lol![]()
