What song is this? Please help my musical eggheads!

Hello lovelies.

Me and my sister are going nuts here. We remember a song that has some sort of lyrics in the chorus about 'if i hear the phone ringing' or something about a phone that we just cannot remember who sang it. Its a rock song we know that much - and its kind of on the tip of of the tongue but i just cant remember.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Or does anyone know of a song that says something about phone ringing/call? haha - i know its totally random and not very helpful that i cant actual remember any other lyrics - but its one of those things thats going to drive me insane untill i remember what it is!

ps: its defo not that 'kiss me through the phone' song thats out and about at the mo!!! hehe!

Ive just searched these and unfortunatly they dont ring a bell :-(
I cant really remember anything else about it - which is why its driving me up the wall. haha!

My sister was saying that the band kind of reminds her of lost prophets.....but i cant even imagine that will help. ha!

The only thing I can think of is "Closer to Love" by Mat Kearney... when you said "Call" it reminded me of that because it starts with:

"she got the call today, out of the gray, and when the smoke cleared it took her breath away"

its definitly rock. or pop rock - whatever bands like greenday/lost prophets etc etc are.

I must really be old. The only one I know of is Elvis Costello. And that was from his Buddy Holly looking days. (yes, late 70's)

Ive just searched all of these into Youtube but to no avail

thank you for searching though!! i think i will just have to come to terms with the fact that im NEVER going to remember it until it plays somewhere. how utterly annoying. i really wish i could remeber more about it.
