    Default Dreams in color...

Last evening i had some very 'out of ordinary' dreams. Now you may say, most dreams are normally out of the oridnary. But i refer to the visual. I have dreams that are in colors, but last night they started out that way and it was as if looking thru a window to the past. They turned into black, white and grey...
Or is this a common thing. And mabey i do dream in black and white but do not remember those?
Anyone have any clues or ideas why?

I looked in a few sites on the web, but have not found anything as to why it would suddenly change to black, white and grey.. It was in mid dream. It was strange, with a feeling of vertigo immediately following the transition. Or at least that is what it seemed to be.... Could this be a 'Twilight Zone'..???? LOL I don't remember seeing Rod Serling around a corner....

Dreams are tough to interpret, I personally do not think they can be at all. The brain is firing rapidly in uncoordinated patterns when you are asleep which is why you can have dreams that make absolutely no sense. You see a butterfly in the day, think about it all day, go to bed and dream of it but low and behold that pretty butterfly is now holding a donut while getting chased by a monkey because you have no control over which images your mind is going to project during sleep. I would not put much focus on trying to figure it out and instead have a laugh as to what crazy images or story lines pop up while you are asleep.

I think that dreams are fun just because they are so illogical. Sometimes in my dreams I know that they are too illogical and I say in the dream, "This can't be."

One of my favorite dreams is when I've figured out how to fly just by thinking. I thoroughly enjoy the sensation of flying just using my body and mind. I'm terribly disapointed when I wake up and just a normal human again.

Switching from color to black and white, that's interesting.

I was at a family party a few years ago and my aunt came out with something that surprised me. She said she always dreams in black and white. I was shocked by this. Never heard of such a thing. But then my mother said the same, she only dreams in black and white. I found all of this strange because mine are always in color and never thought it could be otherwise. I can't even picture it as black and white. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that they use to have black and white tvs and photos in their younger days. Who on earth knows! But I guess it does vary from person to person.

Mostly people actually believe that they dream in black and white or "grey". This is because as you start to wake up, if your in a dream and concentrate, it turns from colour into a grey mist as the dream is actually fading away...

Not many people can remember their dreams, or they wake up and can remember the last part of their dream and then poof, they are fighting to remember all of it, but it's gone.

"Nightmares" on the other hand can be remembered in full.

You can train yourself to drift off to sleep, dreaming of colours and actually see them, more vividly than real life, really bright and effervescent, amazing colours and wake up in the morning remembering those colours.

For instance, picture a brilliant white rabbit, running across a emerald green field of grass, the sun is sky blue and not a cloud in the sky and bright yellow daffodils surrounding in a circle... Focus on that, as you close your eyes and "want to see" the rabbit running through it, you should be able to see it all as I described and then you'll drift on to sleep and probably wake up with a different dream.

Very few people can remember their dreams or remember them being in full colour.

Also colours do in fact in the "spiritual" side of the world mean something... If your dream has predominately green, there is jealousy, predominately red, this is sexual and if it's dark red, it's sexual tension, bright red, it's sexual desires, etc, etc, etc, some people dream with predominate colours, not an array of colours. There are books about dreaming in colours as well as interpreting a dream...

Of course this white witch would know all of that

Do we not realise that in order to find a soul
    It doesn't happen over night
if truth were to be told.

Like everything in life that's hard to achieve
    you must believe!

I did a bit of research on the color scheme and dreams on the net. But could not find anything that described a full color dream fading to black white and grey..... The Mind is a strange and wonderous place.
It felt like a Twilight Zone or Outer Limits episode....
    Thanks CW
