I probably would. No one can ever get it right.
I generally would not change my first name as I was named after my father. If my wife had insisted on keeping her last name, I may have considered changing my last name to hers so as to show the bond. As it was she changed her last name to mine legally, without me even knowing until afterward.
My younger brother's names were chosen by my older brother and myself. They were chosen to be fairly common to avoid conflict in school and to, at the same time have some sophistication. We also chose names that weren't used by any relatives as both he, I and my younger sister were named for relatives. We were 13 1/2 and 12 at the time.
I probably would. No one can ever get it right.
When I was a child, I always wanted to change my name to Michelle. lol I don't know why but I thought it was sooo much better. But now I'm quite attached to my name![]()

I would have definitely in the past, now, I would, but I wouldn't... What to change it to, I don't know. The one thing good about my name now is that I have never ever met another person with it.
However, nobody gets it right and I hate going through the 5 minute education of pronunciation whenever meeting someone new. People make it far more complicated than it actually is. I've gotten to the point where I hardly pay attention anymore, than feel stupid when someone asks if they pronounced it correctly. They will say it again and I say no, then they feel stupid because they didn't say it right and I feel stupid because I didn't even pay attention to it to correct it.

I think I'll keep mine.
But then again, there's just as many people who know me by my nickname that know me by my real name.
There will always be boundries, but making love is so different, than having sex, let's face it. CW
I myself would not change my name! My boy friend said he would like change his name to be a girls name like, Catherine, he sort of like that name and I think he would be great with that name!
I have always liked my first nameUnique, but I've met a few others.
I am good with my first name, but I would change my last name to my mother' maiden name. My father's last name just has no meaning for me, and her maiden name has a lot of history and identity attached to it. Actually I plan on doing that in the future.
