We were raised that meal time is just that..
We all sat down at the table and dined, if the phone rang... Well they had to call back later. (answering
machines were not available at that time) But communication is a wonderful thing... Maybe next time she
will mention to you that she is expecting a call, and would appreciate your assistance.

Well, there's a reason why the answering machine was invented! So you don't have to answer it when you don't want to lol.


I think your mom's overreacting a bit.My roommate gets on my case about it too but ya know it's not like I have the phone glued to my behind 24-7. Especially when I'm soaking up in the bathtub. No way I'm gonna get up out of a nice bath just to answer the phone...just let the answering machine do the job.
