Never been fishing in my whole life. And now that I've been a vegetarian I don't think I'd want to.

Sounds like fun tho...poor little fishies lol.

I haven't eaten meat in 20 years. I just started eating fish recently though. (maybe once every week or two)
I usually just release them. But this season has been so frustrating that the first one I catch that is big enough to fit in a pan, he's all mine!!!

There is something so peaceful about fishing.. Nature..
I find such beauty just watching hubby and my boys. I enjoy it as well, but find myself picking up my
drawing board/paper, pencil, paint.. and capturing on paper the moment/surrounding.

I love fishing, even more-so when I catch some and fry them up in the beer batter mix and have a shore lunch.

    I agree...
2 weeks ago, younger son reeled in 5 blue gill and 2 catfish, hubby zip. We did not keep them we let go. But all were of a size allowed. I sat and watched with foot in the air (broken) and enjoyed the sight, took some photos and did a sketch, nothing detailed. But had a wonderful day!

I really want to go fishing now lol. So many memories of being in our old boat on a calm lake, bright sunny day, listening to the blackbirds in the cattails. I am a city girl and I do love the hustle and bustle of that type of life but just sitting in the boat relaxing is something I never want to stop doing from time to time.

Nowdays I HIRE my killing done....but when I was younger; my parents raisedd chickens..we butchered them; they raised cattle..we slaughtered them, we hunted for elk, deer, rabbit, and birds (pheasant, duck, quaile, goose). same for pigs and other domestics. I really think you should have to dress the game before you are allowed to eat it. I honor and respect my bothers who nurish my body. I have no time or respect for "Trophy Hunters". Today I hire my killing done ....but I could and would do it myself if it were necessary.
