When you thing about your wedding or when you think about getting married,
What do you think about .

Wedding cost, what is a ball park figure for the cost of getting married. A friend of mine has spent approx 18k on her wedding. Another friend of mine has spent 6k Difference of the wedding was numbers that attended the wedding and the 6k Wedding was aboard.

I plan on only getting married once so I plan on having everything as we would like it. Who is for home traditional wedding and who is for wedding abroad? What are your reasons for choosing either?

My wedding cost a total of $500 in 1986 and we're still married. Neither of has has every regretted not having a big fancy ceremony. We were married in a picnic area in a beautiful bit of forest. Food was Togo's sandwiches. The wedding was crashed by a couple of deer. Everyone had a great time.

In my opinion, you should spend your money on the honeymoon, not the wedding. (Do you have any idea of how much fun you can have for 18 K for 2 weeks.....).

Passionate about this one. I will not have the traditional wedding. I will not put my family, nor my fiance or his family, nor myself in financial or mental strain so that I may have "my day". I will not spend my engagement stressing and mulling over insignificant details that will serve no purpose. If/when I meet the man whom I have no doubt should be my partner for life, I hope to marry someone private and meaninful. Perhaps beside a busy street market in Tuscany....where noone speaks our language but us and the officiant....where we can laugh at the irony of whats going on around us and feel giddy at the memories we have just made. Then spend the next several weeks traveling beautiful places and making wonderful memories. Or perhaps even somewhere local, but beautiful. A laid back, no stress, wedding.

    Wedding are a great occasion.
i believe its all about the life you share with some one
one day isnt going to change how the relationship turns out .
For one day ,weddings are all about planning and been organished so the couple can have their day that they will remember for good reasons .
The day to be of the couples taste and not to be to what family , friends think it should be.

I can see why the traditional wedding are good and i can also see why a Wedding abroad would also be good , but for now im 50/50.
I guess its a matter of preferance at the time of planning.
