I didn't really know where to post this....

Last night, my MP3 player quit working. It won't turn on, or won't even be reconized on the computer. I would like a new one (picked by me) for my birthday or Christmas. The closest place is Walmart, and I need help picking one out. Anyone have any tips on how I should pick one or what I shouldn't get?

    Thanks!

Apple has a terrible warranty and customer support, so be careful. If you don't mind buying a new iPod after the first one breaks in less than a year then go with a Nano.
There are tons of mp3 players out there now and if your pc isn't a mac then you're probably better off getting a sony or something.

I have had my nano for over 2 years, no problems so far. No problems with itunes either.

I'm an ipod chick personally, it is very user friendly almost idiot proof.. but, I know people who are more tech savy like my husband hates them for this reason. He hates I-tunes and the format it uses. Also the ipod does not have a radio in it which many mp3 players do. It really comes down to personal preferences. If I were you google ipod, zune, sony walkman mp3 reviews. (Those are the most common mp3 players I believe) and read up on there reviews and the pros and cons. Good luck

I don't use Itunes. I have a friend who had an IPOD and she really hated it, but at the same time, another friend loved it.
I looked on PCMAG reviews, and it said something about " Flash" or "Portable" MP3

I looked on PCMAG reviews, and it said something about " Flash" or "Portable" MP3's. What is the difference?
Do you know what site I may be able to use? I looked at everything I could, and nothing helped.
    Thanks!
