I apperciate the clarification but a partner walks the walk beside you, not leading you.
I think you are taking it the wrong way. To lead is not to rule or dictate. It is to set the precedence, to lead by example. Where did I say that a "woman must do what her husband says"? Let's take my past situation as an example. I was once with a strong, independent, very successful woman. She was strong in her Christian beliefs and had a strong relationship with God (Ugh, I said I didn't want this to turn into a religious debate). All she wanted from me was to take the reigns. To be the one on Sunday morning to get up and get everyone up and say "come on guys, it's time to go to church". She didn't want a man that rolled over on Sunday morning and refused to go because the big game was on. She had her own walk with God just wanted a partner that had the same and was there to lift her up when she needed it. Again, a leader is not a manager, a ruler, a dictator. A leader is someone that by their own influence has people that admire them for the example they set not by the commands they bark out.

We can only learn to love by loving. - Iris Mudoch, British writer
May I also disagree with a few points, just for the sake of argument and not because I don't respect your point of view (that's what forums are about anyway!):
- "But a woman wants security. She want to feel safe not only in a physical manner but in a financial one". You would be surprised by the number of men who need emotional and financial security out there. If they were given the choice to either work 10 hours a day or stay home living on their wife's money they'd choose the later. It's just not as acceptable by the society to have the man at home and the woman out there working. But, believe me, it is a dream to many men. As for women needing financial security that they seek in men, I'd say that is not the case anymore. No woman can feel secure no matter how much money her partner makes. There is always the chance of a divorce, of something going wrong, so women actually feel secure when they make their own money, not when they partner does. But that statement used to be true in a time when women could not study or work. In our days a woman without a job feels anything but secure.
- "She wants a man who will be a good father to her children": Most definitely.
-"a spiritual leader in the home.": This is the case among families where the man is the leader of the house, the family, the finances and where the woman comes second. It's then when he becomes an example to follow on nearly every subject, including spiritually. However, in families where the opinions and beliefs of both partners matter equally, such a leader is not needed or wanted. Both can influence their children in their own way and educated women definitely don't need to be brainwashed by a man with an overly-high opinion of himself.
-"She wants passion and romance not just a romp in the hay": Not always. We are not sitting on top of a tower, brushing our hair, waiting for our prince to climb up when he is ready. We know how hard it can be to be romantic. Besides, if you take a look around you you'll see that romance is slowly disappearing in every sense. It's being ridiculed, it's becoming awkward and rare. It's hard to even buy flowers to your partner without being considered "cheesy".
-"It is refreshing for me to see that NOT all women are gold diggers and size queens": This is sad to read, as it tells me that this is the most common kind of woman you come across. Of course MOST women are not like that. Too bad that you've had such experiences.
Don't walk in-front of me I may not follow. Don't walk behind me I may not lead. Walk beside me, my friend comes to mind..I apperciate the clarification but a partner walks the walk beside you, not leading you.
This woman did want a leader, or did she actually want a 'MAN' her perception of a man, that he takes the lead.... and walks beside her?
Do we not realise that in order to find a soul
It doesn't happen over night
if truth were to be told.
Like everything in life that's hard to achieve
you must believe!
