I will never forget this vacation.. Waking every morning to see the Mountains, the sun just behind them. (we were on the Idaho side) And to slumber with their view in the eve..I found the Tetons by far... more enjoyable, then Yellowstone. Sitting at Dornan's (may be mis-spelled) on the roof enjoying a great glass of wine watching the bald eagles and pelicans flying above us, (i never knew pelicans lived there!!) the mountains in majestic view..directly in front of you..
There is such a distance between sights in Yellowstone. But there was beauty there.
We will be returning, there is much more we did not see and some hiking paths we did not take due to my previous injury. The most strenuous walk i did was to the Lower Falls.. So, there is much more i wish to do and see..

I am enjoying a cup of coffee and in my mind..i am still on vacation! (the Teton's are on my desktop and fresh in my minds eye) I am going to enjoy my day.. and the next day... and the next,... !
Ah yes the pelicans and seagulls (we have tons of those) have always mystified me. I know we used to be an ocean but that was how many millions of years ago? I've always wondered what it will take for them to clue in that it just isn't here any more.

Wonderful! I love the pelicans here too. They are so cute, they look like little (well, big actually) old men.

Thank you for the Birthday wish. I do not feel 48, but then i am not sure what 48 is suppose to feel like!
I just know i feel like i did at 30.
The vacation was beyond anything i had ever expected.. The natural beauty and wildlife were breath taking. I cannot wait to
return!
