    Default Quit Smoking, increased anxiety?

I quit smoking about 2 months ago, have been successful, but my anxiety level is through the roof. I do know that I used smoke breaks and smoking in general as relaxer or just a get-away from stress so I think I may need to find another way to deal with my stress issues (many). I haven't found any research that states that anxiety increases with the stop of smoking and was curious if anyone knows if this is common.

I would think since smoking was anti-anxiety thing, than it would make sense. My doctor said I have anxiety, gave me pills for it. I've taken, like 2 total. Just gotta learn to control it. I don't know how you are, but if it's really bad, just try not to blow things out of proportion, worry about odd things (thinking just cuz you got a mosquito bite you got malaria and your gonna die) and what not.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you quit smoking, and stop? My girlfriend has "quit" many times, and insists she will before we move in together, but I don't see it happening.
