I took a nap earlier today and had the WEIRDEST dream! In the dream I was with my friend in my room and we were talking about how our friend went to California to go skydive, and my ex boyfriend facebook chatted me saying "like me or move" and then he said "you are so cute". (him and i still have feelings for each other by the way) but i don't know i just that was weird, and during the dream there was like subliminal messages of great memories of him and i and sometimes it was just him. Could this possibly have any meaning to it? I feel like it may have a meaning.

It can have a meaning if you want it to have a meaning. Dreams are really an uncontrolled pattern of neurons firing while you sleep. Often things can be explained as you saw it in your day it becomes more 'recent' in your mind and when you fall asleep your subconscious can access that for whatever reason and suddenly there it is in your dreams even if you did not think about it before you went to sleep. There is a claim that if you think about something right before they fall asleep then that will be what you dream about, and sometimes that can happen. If you thought about your ex in the day or before going to sleep, or even your friend for that matter then an explanation for a meaning is simply that...you thought about it recently and it is then a 'recent memory' for your subconscious to play around with. Dreams are really hard to explain though because there is no real consistency (because you can for example dream about your ex, then later on dream about a monkey drinking pepsi type thing) so again it can mean something if you want it to but likely it is just a product of random thoughts.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.

I also asked this in Yahoo answers and someone told me that my subconscious is trying to remind me of the good times, so that I do not wallow in the negative.

I don't believe the pattern is random. There are patterns based on past events and the mind playing "what if" scenarios. These activities are always around even during consciousness. When the level of chemicals needed for consciousness decrease during the onset of sleep, these memories and possibilities now take over as the dominant form of thinking. Especially strong dreams can create neurological connections and create either false memories or retained understanding that has an effect on the conscious person. Many times after especially strong dreams a person wakes up with the resolve to go in a particular direction. It is possible for some to direct their dreams to some degree.
