Troll posts

I'm not sure where to post this so if it needs to be moved to a board more appropriate, please do so.

Is there a problem with troll accounts/false posts on this site? I have only been here for a few days but some of the items posted and some of the characters which post these threads seem...suspiciously stupid. As in, troll like. Whether it be bad english or grammar (more than just a typo), completely bizzare questions given their supposed age or situation in life. The scenerios that some users post about seem sort of fishy.

I know from other sites I used to frequent that this does happen. Whether somebody is moderating or not, there are people out there to get kicks out of the responses they receive.

It's just an observation. Maybe I'm way off target. I just have a hard time believing that certain members are actually so ill informed and have no idea that they appear as odd as they do.

You have to remember that this site has members from all over the world. Some of which English IS NOT their first language. So, while you may feel that someone's grammar is not acceptable, they may have a hard time translating where others can understand.

If you feel that there is a post in which you question, by all means, report it. Then us Mods can discuss it 'behind the scenes' on our board and take appropriate action.

Regardless of people's bad English or grammar, this site is all about respect and singling people out because of it isn't something that is tolerated.

We do A LOT to keep this board spam free and free of trolls, we are all volunteers here, on our own time. So, we do rely on our members to report any questionable posts.

There are indeed troll postings, hence our Mod Squad is working the best it could, and of course, with the help of vigilant members like you who want this forum to be informative, friendly and spam-free.

There is an exclamation point in a triangle at the bottom of each post, that you can use to "report any malicious post: adverts, spam, rude comments, etc. and the moderators will take care of it.

Questioning a member's capability, intelligence, and individuality though is inappropriate.

Yes, we do have troll posting frequently and we try to keep an eye on it but some times it's not as obvious as others and you may see several posts from a troll before we deem them as being one.

EDIT: Did not realize thread had been closed when I posted.
