You feel addicted, because you are addicted. You're not crazy.Food high in fats, sodium, sugars etc ARE addicting. And you have to treat a food addiction just like you'd treat any other addiction. Anyone who has ever been addicted to cigarettes, or drugs, or alcohol will tell themselves "I just don't think I can quit". But.......of course.....that's the addiction talking. Not reality.
What you need to find is a happy medium. Obviously, a vegan/vegetarian organic diet is GREAT if you're getting the proper nutrients. But if you're not, then your body will continuously crave what it's not getting enough of. So it's not really about labeling yoursef "I'm a vegetarian" as it is just eating healthier. For instance, I am not a meat eater.....but when I crave meat, I have meat. And when I have it, I try to make sure it's organic and stay away from pre-packaged deli meats (PACKED with preservatives).
I think in your mind you have two options "unhealthy fast food" vs "strict vegan raw lifestyle". But that's not reality. There is a medium there that will allow you to have things you ENJOY and also eat healthy and give your body the nutrients it needs.
Eating one meal a day is a sure fire way to really mess up your metabolism. I'll mirror what Kmonte says on that.
The fact that you've posted this says you want to change......... but are you willing to? That will include saying no to the Wendy's food. Are you ready for that?
