Allie, not scary as in I feared for my safety. Scary, as in the guy was such a slim bucket or a looser, that it is not funny. But now that I'm past it, it is kind of funny. As for safety, I know to always meet at a public place. Let someone know where you will be, a relative or a friend. Come and leave in separate cars.
One of my favorite stories to tell was of this one guy I met through online dating. He took me out to lunch for a first date. I had met him just that morning through email. He was local and I decided to go for it. I knew we would be in a public place. The whole time all he ever did was complain. He said he was picky. He had country western concert tickets that a friend gave him but he hates country western music. Or he hates condos, houses are so much better. He hates action movies because the stuff they show in them can't be real. My favorite comment was if he was to have children, he only wanted a boy. Because boys, not girls, talk about cars and sports. lol I laugh for two reasons. One, I'm a major sports fan.But also, if he had a girl, what did he do with her? Do you send her to China? Looser!!!! The total bill for two people was $19. He complained I was the most expensive date he ever had and he wasn't kidding. At the end of the date, we left the restaurant. In the parking lot he said he had a good time today. He would email me and we would finally exchange phone numbers. He asked me if I had a good time. I told him, you know, I'm picky also and I'm not sure what I thought of this date. I turned around and left. LOL About an hour later, I emailed him, telling him that I would pass on a second date. It wasn't like I had to wait more than two seconds to decide no way on earth was a second date going to happen. But I figured I would get home first and do it there. lol That's was pathetically scary in my book. LOL
