How about a homemade Christmas?
Homebaked cookies and other goodies, some handcrafted ornaments. Keep things simple but fill your home with wonderful smells and colors and lots of affection and love.
Sorry, I'd missed that - I don't read all the threads. Still, I think doing something for him is better than buying something if money is tight. Doesn't need to be much - with gifts it is the idea that the giver cares that matters far more than the gift itself.

That's actually great idea guys!!!! Do you think I should make the cookies and things on the 23rd or the 24th (Going to do it while he's at work)?? And I think I still will make him a calendar but one month I will make zombies and all sorts of randomness! Now I just have to figure where I can go to get a calendar like that made?.. Really thanks everyone I'm actually psyched about doing Christmas now.

Maybe you should make the cookies and stuff together, make it an intimate time of sharing, thats what Christmas is all about...
I have some special cookie cutters for gingerbread people. Its fun to make the cookies, decorate them and then wrap in plastic and tie them with ribbons. They look very festive. Things like banana bread and gingerbread are really good.
How about poping up a bunch of popcorn and getting some thread and needles and making popcorn strings? Thats fun to do sitting in front of the fire or while watching a movie. Then you can decorate some trees and enjoy the birds they attract.
