What is your favorite Christmas tradition?

I have a very large family and we are a crazy bunch to say the least. I have 5 sisters and 1 brother, between us we have 22 children and 14 grandchildren. So for us holidays are a big deal. We rotate the location of each holiday so everyone gets their turn.

This year Christmas Eve will be hosted by my youngest sister, YES! This means no cooking for me... A bottle of liquor and $50 per adult (prize money) to get past the front door.

Attire is always decided by the host. This is one of our family traditions. Well, I just received the email that says everyone has to wear a sweater, not just any sweater, but the ugliest sweater we can find. This will be the contest for this year, another family tradition.

The winner will receive the prize money collected at the front door. It's a nice prize to win due to the size of our family.

    What are your family traditions?

When i was still living at home we used to go trudging off into the woods to pick a tree and cut it down ourselves and then drag it home to set up, i always looked forward to that..

Growing up, we were always allowed to open one present on Christmas Eve. My boys now do the same.

We've also started some traditions of our own. We make reindeer food (oats and glitter) and sprinkle it on the front yard and driveway, we also track Santa on NORAD's website while we are baking cookies, so that my kids know when they have to get their butts to bed.

HAHAHA - I love it! I think I have more fun with it than my boys do.
