    Hi.. Curious if anyone's visited Spain.. I'm going in January for 2 weeks for a spanish course, but I don't know what city to choose! I'd like to avoid resort areas.. Also, keeping in mind that it's January I don't think it's particularly good beach weather.. Madrid I think is also quite cold this time of year..
    I've been looking at Cadiz which seems very charming, one of the oldest cities in Europe. But I wonder if it will offer enough for a 2 week stay.. Anyone have suggestions?

    I will be going to Madrid, Toledo, Cordoba around that time. Never been there before though. It will likely be cold - but that keeps the tourists down.

    I live in Norway and it's freezing here so I would really like to avoid the coldest areas if possible, hehe ^^

    I understand wanting to find warmer areas (maybe with a bit more daylight) - but Norway is BEAUTIFUL!

    Never been to Spain, i was in Thailand once though, it was pretty cool, and darn hot haha..
