I am way behind on shopping this year and I've got to try to wrap it up this weekend. Can anyone give me suggestions on any of the following?!

    Grandmother
    Grandfather
    10 year old boy
    my best friend

HELP!! I am looking at spending about $30 more on both my grandmother and grandfather. About $10 more on my nephew and then about $30 on my best friend.

    THanks so much!

Nephew might be easiest. Does he play any sports? I'd go on line and look for something from his favorite team. Favorite player.

Grandparents? How about loading a digital picture frame with some photo's of them in their younger days and move through the generations? Would require a little time on your part (which I know is at a premium these days) but "what do you get someone who has everything"

    Best friend? Good luck.

I'll be following this thread closely for ideas. My list:

Books on their favourite subject is good, CD vouchers, perfume, love the picture frame idea, a gold fish in a small bowl, with fish food, a bottle of port if your grandfather likes a wee drink at night, a photo of your wedding chisaki if you didn't give them one, in a frame, a small basket with cheeses and salami, ....

Ok I know people aren't really educated on this, but DO NOT keep a goldfish in a small bowl. Trust me, that fish will not live very long. Goldfish are very messy, they eat and poop a lot, which produces ammonia buildup in the tank which is very bad for the fish and makes the tank susceptible to growing all sorts of nasty bacteria that can make fishie sick. Sure, you could just clean the bowl every single day, but frequent water changes will stress the fish out and weaken its immune system. A goldfish needs at least 1 gallon of water per inch of fish (for example if the fish is 3 inches long, it needs at least 3 gallons of water), and the tank must be filtered and cleaned every other week. Goldfish can live for up to 10 years with proper care.
