Pass term limit legislation (two terms in the senate, four terms in congress), then simplify income taxes by passing flat tax legislation (where everybody pays..everybody).
I have no problem with the gender of our "commander in chief" as long as they have honorably served in the military. No military service, no opportunity to become president. sorry.
Term limit legislation is a non-starter as it takes either a constitutional amendment or some action by the Supremes to make that the law of the land. Ordinary laws would be struck down as unconstitutional and as such would just waste a lot of time and money. Individual states may be able to pass laws limiting who can be placed on the ballot, but maybe not who is elected. Few, if any, would trade political power from long term legislators for principal.Originally Posted by Seeker_Advice

Gender? I really don't care if the president has a penis or not. I will never vote for a female for the sole purpose of having a female in there either (there is a reason that Sarah Palin makes me want to stab screwdrivers into my ears and it doesn't have to do with her being a woman). To me, the most important thing is the ability and proven record to be a leader and lead this country to better times, male or female, it doesn't matter.
