    JNS...
Not sure where the Tree is located, but I found a Close up of it , If you look carefully, you can see bark and actual grains, knots and damaged bark areas in the wood, also the upper left ( looking at it ) arm near the breast area seems to have another branch coming out above it and towards the Collar Bone/ Shoulder area that you don't see or notice from the more Distant pic.

Also at the Top of the Head, you can see the " Trunk, doesn't end, it continues.

I don't believe it is Photoshopped, if you take your hand or a Piece of Paper and cover " sections" of the Pic, and only look at that whole Section Alone without the Full " Woman " you will see it is a Tree.

You can see Gouges in the Bark on both legs. the Crotch Area and inner legs are more of a deep Gouge or Fold than what I think possible for a Photoshopped pic, also the extra wood on the Right thigh, the fanned looking part about mid and almost knee area, looks pretty real.

I Could be Wrong, I'd ask Krysta on it , she has a Pro Graphic Arts Degree ..

If You look up Copper Birch Trees you will see the Bark peels and is the same cosmetically

    Here's another Tree of Nature.

And another Tree Trunk where someone peeled the bark away in the Breast Area, you can see the wood worm tracks in it .

Real or Not, Mother Nature can be Intriguing to say the least

Wouldn't surprise me if it was at least partially Photoshopped, honestly. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. The capabilities of graphics software these days is incredible, there really are no limitations to what can be done. For example, do a G search on Bert Monroy, a digital photo-realist. Amazing. Back to the photo in question... if it was Photoshopped, I doubt it was entirely. It's not all that difficult to alter and make tweaks to a digital photo to create natural looking effects, enhance certain areas, or even create an optical illusion. But, even if the photo was digitally altered, it's difficult not to appreciate the creativity, talent and attention to detail it takes to do something like that.

BG, The trouble is that too many elements seem to follow the shape of a woman and are rare for a tree. Both arms narrow relatively rapidly and then flair out as in human appendages, where trees generally stay the same or gradually narrow as they go out except where they branch. Additionally, the widening of the hips, then the narrowing of the waist followed by the widening of the chest with two breasts. Then a neck and face. Too many elements shown in the details of a woman instead of a tree. The creativity in making it is very good.

You could be right JNS,. I wish there were other angles to view it from. Either way, it is an interesting photo.
