Thread: Surprise Birthday Party Entertainment Ideas???

I am throwing my boyfriend a surprise party for his 30th. I have never planned a party before and am not sure what to do regarding entertainment - if any.

Any ideas??

$80 of my $500 budget is mostly likely going toward food and decorations.

There will be about 30-40 people at the party. His parents will be there and some aunts and uncles so no drinking games, haha!

I want it to be a great party but I am completely stuck what do about entertainment. Is it even required? Should we just mingle among ourselves? Play an ice breaker game? I don't wan it to be a lame party, haha!

The age span is going to range from 24-60 years old.

You could do a themed evening - 40s/50s nights are always great fun and the music from that era is fab!
