I went to see last Tuesday Deva Premal and Miten at the first concert of their 2011 World Tour.

    Very good. Special.

The Moody Blues were fabulous. They are every bit as good as they were 35 years ago!

I saw Dengue Fever again on Saturday, this time for free at the Getty Museum. The bassist's mom sat down next to me as we waited for show time and we talked a little bit. Its nice for family to come to a show.

Son in law, Band playing at the Gorge in George ( Washington / Oregon Columbia River )

Its is Strange to hear the Cover Band X35 then get into going and sleeping in Tents.

They are Not Americas next Idols , but they are " Grouping "

Saw Jethro Tull, 40 year anniversary of Aqualung. I see them every few years and they are still one of the greats!

This is the one on the hill overlooking the 405 freeway in Brentwood. I think you are talking about what is now the Getty Villa. This was my first time there. No entrance fee and parking was free, too. And the buildings show what oil wealth can make, quite impressive.

I made an entry earlier, but as I moved my pointer across the screen, Microsoft Windows(R) decided it was time to close that window in firefox.

On July 22 I went to Santa Barbara to see Dengue Fever again and also saw a good opening band called Howlin' Woods.

On July 30 I went to a restaurant/bar in Los Angeles called the Blue Star to see a punk rock lineup for a record release party. The record is a compilation double album called Traveling With George on Scare America Records. The lineup consisted of The HERE After, American Jihad, Spermo-meters, Paul D Band, Standard And Poor, Thirsty Livers, The Livingstons, Symbol Six, RF7 and The Gears. The show went on for about 8 hours. Almost everyone was on their feet for the last three bands. A mosh pit formed for the last two bands, RF7 and The Gears. Almost everyone there was in a band or knew someone who was. I was guest listed by one of the guitarists who also helped put on the show. I think Sally may have enjoyed a show like this.
