Thread: Pranks, Paybacks and Handmade Karma

My co~workers , who are also friends, and I were talking about Paybacks and Pranks and I thought I would bring up a thread about it.

Being as there are many ways to Prank people or Payback them , we found that most of our stories were Non~ Violent , even to people that had upset us. Though there were many “ Financial “ disruptions or expenses “ that occurred to those in a Negative Payback, Versus the Positive or Playing a Joke for laughs Prank.

I'll start with one of mine, which fits into the Handmade Karma one..

25 Years ago our family lived fairly close to each other , all within an hours drive. Each month we had a Family “ Ethnic “ Dinner night , where we all got together and had an “ Ethnic “ meal and caught up on everything.

It was my turn and I chose and “ Oriental “ theme, everyone was to bring a side dish
and I would make the main course. Kung Pao Chicken and White Rice and Spicey Eggrolls.
The family was all gathered at my place, was about 30 of us with kids and family friends.
All sitting around talking, kids outside playing tag. I'm in the kitchen cooking my heart out. I have the water Boiling for the Rice, Grab my Clear jar of white rice, start pouring it in the water and I FREAK..

As I'm pouring I see lil black dots on my rice kernels.. OMG, MAGGOTTS .. I drop the jar and do a “ dance “ of OMG.. Rice all over my floor, people are whats wrong, I'm saying MAGGOTS, OMG Maggots..
The women run in to the kitchen to help .. but from the living room I hear Laughter.. It started as a Snicker and turned into a Rolling eye tearing Laughter .. from my brother David ( the one who passed / suicide , I've spoken of )..

Anyway, he was just laughing so hard and then it Dawned on me .. I picked up a rice kernel from the floor and sure enough there were 2 lil black dots on one end, that resembled eyes, And there were many lil Eyes looking at me from the counter and floor, where the rice flew when I dropped the jar.

Evidently, he had planned this prank ahead of time. Yep he had bought some white rice, sat and drew lil Eyes on the kernels with a Sharpie, one at a time, at least 100 of the lil kernels, when him & family came over and I was busy elsewhere, he dumped half of My rice out and replaced with his Homemade Maggots.

The Joke was on me and there started the WAR.. The War of F Me & I F back. Lol

After things calmed down, Laughter was over, except for the Giggles of Did you see her Face ? We enjoyed our Ethnic Night. And Plans were made for the next Months Family get together. David looked worried as his home was next to host it..

That month ( his ) was Hispanic night.. He was nervous as all get out, it went off without a hitch, so did the next 6 Family nights. Everyone forgot about his prank but ME ..

Revenge and paybacks are best served Chilled. I Chilled and Chilled and then thought about handmade Karma, with an unexpected Twist to it.
