The Earth is not your - ashtray, trash heap, dumping ground, cess pit.
Keep in mind when you throw something away, that there is no "away". It may leave your sight but it is still in existence.
Is today, April 22!!!
Happy Mother Earth Day
Get out and do something good for the earth.

Quit spraying poison and go get a dandelion digger. Then eat the dandelion leaves in a salad.
Don't get new stuff just to have the latest in marketing hype - ask yourself if you REALLY need it?

Take some time to consider that throughout most of human history everything we used was "organic" and "natural" and yet we still find remains, some of it hundreds of thousands of years old. What do we really think is going to happen with all that we leave behind?

One of the highlights of my childhood was being crown bearer for the Queen of the May.
I'm looking forward to the May Pole Dance in the park and may head out to a much bigger multiple day event in another town. Its close enough I can go for the day if I want.

When we were kids we would make little May baskets out of paper and ribbon and fill them with candies, cookies and flowers. Then we would sneak up on to people's porches, leave them by the door, ring the bell and run off and hide to watch them discover the treat. It was so much fun, we would giggle and just be thrilled at surprising people. Beltaine/May Day has always been been my favorite cross-quarter day.
