what's your favourite era - and why ? , any songs that evoke thoughts of that era ?
I am a child of the sixties. To me, the most momentous era since WW2. There are songs that remind my of those "halcyon days". I know, they weren't perfect, but they seemed brilliant at the time.
I was born in 88 so I grew up in the 90's therefore it was my favorite era. In that time was the explosion of annoying pop singers that end up being the definition of my childhood lol, Britney Spears "hit me baby one more time" or Backstreet Boys "as long as you love me" or "quit playin' games". All those old pop songs really bring back memories.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.
I enjoyed the 70's and 80's! Life seemed to be alot simpler back then... We've done alot of traveling!! And our song was "On the road again" by Willie Nelson...
