Disturbingly, I just received a Text message from Cat (Caterpillar our Mod) who advised that they are in a shelter, due to a Tornado

I'm staying in touch with her, (one of my daughters) She I believe is in Oklahoma.

Does anyone know what's going on over there? Or can click on the news...

Yeah I'm on Accuweather and it's talking about it going through North Dallas.

Storm stretching from North Texas to Nebraska and heading back to Missouri where over 100 people were killed by tornados two days ago. I'm watching the weather channel now, so I'll see what happens. They're not talking about Oklahoma now. They're telling Dallas to take cover.

We're on clear now, Mum. OKC has 7 (or less maybe) deaths if I'm not mistaken. There were touchdowns close to our town but none in our immediate vicinity. Thank goodness. We're relaxing now in our neighbor's house (the owner of the tornado shelter).

Thank you for praying for us.

Praying? I'm here finding out everything there was to know about where you were and what was happening haha...

That's fantastic Cat, but guys I am so sorry hearing this being closer now to you...

I suggest you find out all you need to and where you can go for shelter yourselves which means no WH, for now, that's more important.

But, please get back in touch as you can..

    hugs to you all...

All the servers were busy last night, so I couldn't update what was going on. Looks like Oklahoma got a lot of damage. I think it said 5 tornados. Joplin, Missouri missed the next rounds of tornados so that's good. I read that the big one they got was upgraded to ef-5 and it had a rare two vortexes. I've never even heard of that. That was a big storm chain. If we ever got a tornado like that through here, it would just be our time to go. No one has shelters so there wouldn't be too much we could do unless we had a fair amount of warning.

I'm in Austin. Far enough away not to panic, but close enough to get sweaty palms about it. I was really worried for Joplin when they said the storms were headed back to Missouri. Talk about getting kicked when you're down. Think they said something like 1500 people were missing. Last I checked, the death toll there was 125. Some of the missing persons were probably due to confusion of finding shelter, but it's supposably the biggest tornado in 4 decades.
