I'm trying very hard to "tone" myself down. In the past, I have been a bit rough around the edges, that's just me. I'm just trying to tone it down a bit because I really like this site and may have hurt some feelings without realizing it. I still drag my knuckles sometimes and please forgive me.

I like to be here and share, it's hard to put a rough guy in a fine restaurant and expect him to know all the subtle nuances that are required to be there.

Mark, while you are expected to behave with a certain level of courtesy and respect, this isn't a fine restaurant. We're all just regular people, and you should interact with us just as you would when interacting with acquaintances in person (in addition to following the forum rules, which aren't unreasonable and shouldn't be difficult). We accept people for who they are and who they claim to be (unless the Mods have reason to suspect otherwise). We're not perfect, we slip up sometimes (I certainly have), but the mods do a great job of keeping things under control.

So, you don't have to act like you're fine dining amongst upper class people, because you're not. You can be yourself here, while maintaining a certain level of common courtesy and respect, as is to be expected when you interact with anyone else. So it really shouldn't be difficult, just think before you type.

Kristalyn, you took the words right out of my mouth.

It is not too hard to treat everyone with respect here. Including yourself - don't blame poor behavior on knuckle-dragging, you're an intelligent and discerning member of the modern human species!

Consider it a public general announcement: Poor treatment of fellow posters will no longer be tolerated as a result of too few moderators per post or pity on those with a sad story. My big, mean ban hammer is back and warnings will be few. Any posters who may have been lurking or not returning to WH because of a certain recently-banned troll or any other member should email or PM me with their concerns, or simply rest assured that things are changing.

Once in a while, we men step on our faces...I know I have in here too.

It's a learning process. Especially for those of us that are fairly new to the whole online forum environment.

I tend to relate this place more to 'comfort food' then fine dining.

It's a great place, with good people and wonderful mods that keep it and us in line.

Mark, I imagine you have written this, due to seeing posts edited of late, and Seeker will tell you, as he just did, that he too earlier in the stages, had his edited, and obviously other regular members as well.

The thing is? Yes, we do have excellent Moderators here and there is nothing wrong with a little guidance, to assist with the reasons for the editing, or deletions for that matter, a simple PM asking "why" if you are not sure, can be answered. But, over time, I for one have watched some "different" types of personalities change to a more respectful and meaningful posters, from giving that guidance, or else as Little stated, if that wasn't the case, then banned.

The simplest thing to remember is respect. We have 13 year olds join this Forum, young ladies/teenagers and even us older generation, like the quality of respect, that's really all you have to remember before your fingers to the walking
