Lana, the 10 years you have busted your gut, worked as two people's jobs instead of one, means you can do anything you want to do, you are talented, skilled and an asset to anyone...
This "new" Manager heard you, let's see if he "hears you" and if not, stop believing that nothing is possible and start believing EVERYTHING is possible because you are AWESOME at your job... Write that resume with every detail, with positive thinking, creativity and start sending it out there, everywhere, if things don't start going your way...
You are not a robot... You are not someone's lacky, and if they don't see that in the coming weeks, then it's time to let them see what they missed as another door opens and it will trust me, if you concentrate on believing.

Yeah - if anything, IMO, my resume totally kicks butt... I keep it updated I have to for work anyways because it gets sent out on proposals. I've been tempted to throw it out there on the job boards to see what I get in return. An awkward feeling because I feel like I'm doing something "wrong" and my loyalty is taking a dive.

Loyalty is one thing, but in that, it has to be given back 10 fold yes?
So, everyone is replacable I don't mean that in a bad way, I have that attitude I have to, I run a business...So they pay more for two people like they should have instead of saying "she can do it"...
When the time comes, you just state, simply I need a change a challenge, but I'll train the person for you...simple. x

I think it's very important to listen to what your body is trying to tell you how the situations.
There might be a combination of factors (BC pills, the job).
Those clues are particularly important so you can tell how long you haven't be listening to your inner voice.
When the body starts "breaking", the call for change will not suffer any delay, irrelevant of what happened in the last 10 years.
Hopefully you don't get that far.
