You are right, although I am definately betting the real Aussie's still live this way, their woman doing everything for them. By real Aussies I mean those that just walk around in life with the attitude of "what ever".

I can testify though that my ex was like that, all bar the washing, he wouldn't even put a garbage bin out, yet predominately he lived like a batchelor until 31, perhaps that is what he constituted was a wife and hense why he now (2nd time) doesn't have one.

Although, I asked, not told, my now fiance that we should "try" to be equal...and predominately we are..

I've cooked Osso bucco tonight with mash potatoes, he made lunch, I did a load of washing and he did one, and we both cleaned out the garage yesterday... I think it works better that way and I tend to think you agree

I think that women have more difficult lives, due to giving birth, having periods and not being assertive enough (generally). My g/f is lovely but lacks assertiveness when she should tell others to sort themselves out. I like the way that women are more tolerant than men, but they also are frustrating by not being assertive. If some women have a hard life because their man does little to help out at home, then it's probably because their men were spoilt by their mums when they were younger. When I was married and we both worked I did 50% of the chores. This is the way it should be otherwise it's simply unfair to expect the woman to do all the work. Although most of the dangerous, dirty and risky jobs are mostly done by men.Yes, we men have easier lives, but then you ladies make up for it by living an average of 5 years longer !!! xx

When both hubs and I worked, I still did a majority of the housework. A, he doesn't have the same standard of "clean" that I do, and B, he works in "spurts," so he'll do fifteen loads of laundry at once (exaggeration ) and reorganize the whole house, then chill for the rest of the week. I prefer to get little things done daily and maintain.
I don't think CW's description is uncommon at all (sadly, in many cases!) and I'm darn glad that she's not with that horrid man anymore.
I feel like a lot of lazy people (male or female!) wrangle their partners into doing all the work, and it brings a lot of hate onto that gender. Strong, self-assured folks (like my CW!) move on from it and love/trust again, but lots get stuck in the negativity and start saying that the other gender has it easier.
Thomas, is it really better to live a harder life for longer? Haha

Ahh you bring a good point to the table, both of you...Madam Little fanks for the self-assured, guess that makes me assertive

How many women honestly have it easier even if their darlings help out?
he doesn't have the same standard of "clean" that I do,
Don't alot of us, wait until he leaves and then go and re-wipe things down, move the couch and get the dog fur from under there, re-align the bed which looks like the bedding is crooked? Lol's but seriously don't we which makes us again still work harder....

Assertive... Someone called me that way ago, I would have been 25, had to google it. But there are ways of being assertive that is not over the top and it seems to be a massive draw card to a man in dating, and obviously togetherness, the acknowledgement that she won't take carp and can stand on her own two feet seems to be very attractive. Perhaps then, it keeps him on his toes and helps him live a few years longer

Men have it easier, because we get to live in a world full of wonderful Goddesses and Witches.

Meanwhile, wonderful Goddesses and Witches get to live in a world full of... us.

    LMAO

Though on the other hand, wonderful Goddesses and Witches get to enjoy their special powers, while we are busy drooling on ourselves, blood flow always directed elsewhere, which isn't easy for us (in other words, it's hard... LMAO), so...
