I saw a short on the news about this, they said it can happen after "only" 5-6 cups of coffee.
    ONLY??
I understand that some people really do drink much greater than this amount, but it seems really excessive to me. Even when I drank a great deal of coffee, it wasn't more than 5 cups per day.

I know!!! LOL - I have to laugh. My mom and step dad - 2 to 3 POTS before they even leave the house in the morning, then proceed to drink it all day long. That cannot be good for you.

I am reminded of the story of the Viking Lord who in an agreement with the "new" christian priest agreed to dring only half as many goblets of meade as he had been. he appeared at the "table" the next night with a "goblet" more than twice as large. So no complaints if my "under five cups" is in a large mug with multiple expresso "shots"

lol's isn't that how some people seriously cope with the solution? Sure, I'll make the glass larger...that's a good share there sahara, thank you...

When I went to America, I saw the consumption of "pots" of coffee.. Here that's reserved only for Functions, it's either an expresso machine or a simple kettle... I may drink 3 in the morning used to be 2, due to getting up earlier with dogs, but I can't drink coffee after the morning..

This made me laugh, caffeine in high amounts can cause excessive jitters but hallucinations would mean a lot of coffee...a lot a lot. What is more likely in this study is the placebo effect which controls an absolute huge amount of "are you feeling this ____?". If this 'study' was found on one of those random never heard of this before online news sites then it is going to be considered a spoof as is the case with many of those "interesting" studies. If this was legit I want to read the real research about it lol.
