Like guys who drive pickup trucks? My truck is a 97 F-350 1 ton silver in color and looks quite nice as I have taken very good care of it. Lately I've noticed that women stare at me when I'm at stop lights. Just wondering, I'm really nothing to look at honestly. But they still stare, I hope they don't think the worst of me.

    Admiration is a good trait.

Your truck (although I am an Aussie) as you describe it is a nice colour, looks looked after and probably is large and then you are tall, it's being admired and in that, a person is then looking at who owns it, a guy who loves pickup trucks would look as well but you are focused on how women view things at present So you are only seeing a woman looking

I was wondering if women looked at my truck as something I cherished and took good care of and therefore I would be the type of person to cherish people in my life as well. It's strange for me to explain it I guess. Kind of like women who judge a man by his shoes, watch, etc... My point is that if a man makes it a point to keep his things nice and neat then he would be the type of man they desire?? Does that make sense? I'm confused myself... LOL at myself!!

A vehicle is just a vehicle- nice to keep clean and such, but women- now that's completely different. The choice- I'd let my truck burn if I could only have the love of a woman. Clearly nothing to even think about- women win hands down everytime. But all men are different. Vehicles can be replaced or fixed, but love is a once in a lifetime find. Maybe I'm weird, huh? And probably a little bit confusing to most women. I don't mean to be though.

Is it possible that there are not alot of F-350's in your area and people are just looking at the Big Truck ?
In my area there are tons of Big Fords, Dodges, Gmc's, Chevys, Some very well kept up, others just work trucks. The thing is, when I see one I don't associate the condition of the truck ( or any cars that I see ) with how sensitive or possibly caring, the Driver might be to women, or men for that matter.

I have several women customers that drive Big trucks, some nice and clean and all Female Mossy Rocked out, I don't think ' Wow, she takes care of her truck, she probably takes good care of her man ".

As with a truck or car that has a dent in it, or covered in mud from Off Roading. I don't think that just because it's dented, that they are a Woman Beater and not sensitive. Or that they are Slobs at home, just because their Truck is Mud Caked .

I Love the Nice Oldies, Car club, 40's/50's /60's Cars. And have several Friends and long time Customers that stop in to get things so their Car is tip top shape for a Car show. But not once have I wondered if the Man or Woman Driving it, is a Good , caring, loving person, based just on their car.
That would be very shallow of me to presume anything about their personal life or behavior to others, just by the looks of their vehicle.

Then again, the person I had the 1 year relationship with drives a Big 2008 F-350 Super Duty and is meticulous about keeping it and his Thousands of Dollars " Fancy Rims" all clean and buffed and waxed. His wife has an 08 F-250 Super Duty, same thing.
He wasn't faithful to her, or seemed to be more sensitive and caring to her, just because he takes care of his Truck. She evidently wasn't taking good care of things at home either, though she takes good care of her Truck .

The important thing is to be judged by your actions, not the vehicle you drive. I have a nice car, I wash it once a week, I spiff up my ENKE Rims and Gloss my tires. I certainly hope no one thinks my house is Spotless, just because I keep my car cleaned up. Far from it, my house is lived in with Loving Clutter, not filthy but not some Better Homes and Garden front page Home.

The car and truck culture runs somewhat different in different parts of the USA. In some parts big vehicles are just work vehicles, but in other parts a big truck is required equipment for a man to show that he has made it. In some places, such as big cities, large vehicles are impractical for parking in many situations. I used to run several 350s for work and they had problems going into some parking structures without hitting something.

I dunno. For me the only time I stare at a truck is when it is fully loaded with quads or skidoos or Razors (google that thing, they are sweet to drive lol). To me the truck filled with the toys is where the fun is, not so much into the truck itself unless it is done up all fancy with chrome and everything, except monster truck lift kits I hate those. I love cars and my preference is honestly in the luxury, the Mercedes the BMW the Lexus...so a truck does not really turn my head unless it is loaded up. My bf has a 07 Dodge 1500 SLT Hemi, I love it and I noticed that the hemi makes a difference just hearing that roar without it burning diesel. I will look at other guys with trucks like his to compare, cause not all have the Hemi.

Started a rather lengthy response and lost it. To summarize, as woman who was driving trucks long before it became fad and who actually needed one to work out of and pull loads, I have ZERO respect for people who own powder puff trucks. If you don't work construction, tow loads, keep livestock or have some REAL reason to drive a truck then all see is an ego on wheels and a load of debt.

Many of these people are dangerous. They have big tow bars and couldn't hitch up a trailer properly, let alone back one. If you decide to help SuzieQ move and try pulling a 10,000 pound load with a 6000 ball, you just may kill someone. They get these monster sized trucks lifted. The axle is still way down there so they aren't wanting extra clearance and they don't carry heavy loads so that they need extra heavy super duper springs, what they are is a decapitation machine if they get in accident with a normal vehicle. Their bumper will come right through a car's window.

Bumpers are required for a reason and if you hit my vehicle and your bumper and my bumper don't contact, the crash test numbers are meaningless and airbags won't help. I don't understand (well I d,o it has to do with who owns the politicians) why many of these are allowed on the roads. You can tell, in a glance a truck that is used for working from one that isn't. I have little use for the kind of ego problems that come with "compensation" vehicles, I don't want to know how small it is. I can't even start to comprehend women who's primary concern is getting to the nail salon on time who drive trucks. Women who actually Need a truck are usually aren't the kind who "do" their nails. If you want a vehicle for fashion get a cute little car, quit driving the gas guzzling work machines to take Fifi to the groomer or run down to the auto parts to get more shiny wheel stuff.

What's the car culture like in MO in that regard, Mark? Down here in southern Texas, it's very common for both men and women to drive trucks and large SUVs, and though farming and ranching is very big, lots of those folks drive trucks/SUVs just for the sake of having a large vehicle. They're too common to be a status symbol, because even a dinky little Ford Range is better than no truck in the eyes of many, but large vehicles are still considered cool. So if it's anything like that in MO, I reckon they were admiring your truck for that reason.
