Ok my birthday is July 10th. I'm turning 16. I want an outfit/hair idea please. Normally for my birthdays I wear something regular, plain comfy. I'm not doing anything really special besides my boyfriend come over. I still want to look pretty nice though because its my 16th birthday so there will be many pictures, including the obvious my only 16th year pictures, My first pictures with my boyfriend. This will be y first bday with him so please make it nice <3
I have long blonde straight hair, side swept bangs, my hair goes down to the middle bend of my back (yeaa its long i love it), Its straight naturally. I have green eyes. I'm pale kinda.
I'm 5'3. I wanna wear something nice on my birthday. My bf is about the same height as I am so please no heels. Maybe another type of shoe?
Um, I have curves if that helps, I'm normal weight. I'm not fat at all but I do have nice thights, chest, and butt. My bfs favorite color is black so I kinda want to stay around that color/ color palette.
I am going cloths shopping on July 1st so I have 600 dollars to spend just on cloths. Please help <3

What is the weather like where you live, hot?

I wouldn't wear black for your 16th, you will look 21 When I was 16 I had long blonde hair, white's with pastal, feminine hair with a few curls in it, a little bit of a low kneck so you look "cool" but cute, what? That's your name

But I would have them add curls to your hair in sections so it still has a fair amount of "straight" in it, that's the trend and the photos will look amazing...Black IDK you are only home, black really only goes well if you are putting on a shortish, dress after 5 style, for your age IMO and that would look out of place at home, flowy, sweet and with a tad of whoa..

I agree with CW, Black is Definitely Out,For a Sweet 16. I have put 2 daughters thru their Sweet 16 Parties.

You want to look Fresh and Innocent, just on the Threshold of becoming a Woman. You don't want to look like a Party Girl or worse a Easy Girl. I'm assuming you parents and other family and friends will be there ( Lots of Pictures ). So go Sweet but not Lil Baby girl sweet.

Something along these lines would look Adorable, yet flirty ( not too much )but not Trampish either, There are many Summer Dresses at stores like Ross,TJ Max and local boutiques.. ( Not sure where you live, but these stores mentioned have a bit more to the "young Gals " than say JC Penneys or stores like that,

You can find something that may be of a better color for your hair and eyes.
Here's another type dress, if there is say a semi formal, backyard or pool party,
But if it's just a hang around the house boyfriends coming over, no real dinner or celebration. This one may be a Bit Overboard or too formal.

Remember you are just Now 16, You have Years to be Sexy, but also you want to be viewed by your Boyfriend, Parents and Friends and Family as a Sweet and , Maturing, Trustworthy , Young Woman.

When My oldest Daughter ( now 31 ) was 16, Sad to say she dressed like a " Street Girl " In my opinion, when she could get away with it.
My 21 year old Daughter, Was Dressed By Myself and Her Older Sister ( yep the used to be Street Girl ) lol. For her Prom just before her 16th Birthday.

Unlike her older sister , This one had no Chance to slip out and change clothes.
And I know she doesn't look 15 here, but at least she didn't look like a " Street Girl "

My 16th birthday was a big deal for my parents. They had decided it was time for me to quite being a tomboy and start acting more like a girl. I didn't agree with them but I had no choice. My mom bought me a new outfit with high heels and made me go to the salon to get all polished up. On the big day I got all dressed up and my mom was beaming she was so proud of me. I had a party and had to dance with a boy my father hoped I would marry someday. I soon found out that I couldn't dance in high heels and we all had a good laugh over me falling on my backside. The next day I was back in my grubbies combing the beach with the boys. They gave up on me until I was 17 then tried again.

Today I have wonderful memories of my 16th birthday and party. I didn't appreciate it at the time but today I look back on it as one of the high points of my teen years. Turning 16 is a special time, don't waste it.

Thank you so much everyone. They were very great ideas I now have a really good idea of an outfit I could wear. I was thinking maybe a summer/spring floral dress with some cute flats. My favorite color is pink so I'll probably go along that color CW, the hair idea was wonderful and I'm definitely gonna try it Thanks everyone
