Ladies!
I've been so absent from forum life! I've been busy working and planning!
We've decided to have a casual-dress ceremony and Luau-themed reception! We've cut our list down to 75 people and I think I've found a venue. We've moved it up to this October, and we're buying most of our decorations from a party supply store. I'm really excited and hoping to hear about the venue soon!
So what have you ladies been up to? I miss you all!

Definitely! I'm excited about planning now! I can just imagine how I'm going to overdo the decorations now that I'm not spending a fortune. I'm excited!
My cousin did a hawaiian reception theme, but was very particular that she wanted it to be classy, not gawdy. It turned out BEAUTIFUL. She bought her center pieces at the Dollar General Store : Glass Hurricane Vases, and glass square small ones. We filled the square ones with water, blue glass beads and a floating candle. Filled the tall hurricane ones with beautiful tropical looking flowers. She also talked a local Hobby store into letting her rent palm trees instead of buying them. They really added to the setting.

Aww that sounds nice! I've been looking for a place to rent a couple palm trees! I've decided the only people that I care what they wear is the wedding party. Everyone else is allowed to wear whatever they like, because we're doing barbecue.
