So Monte and I have been exchanging information via PM. I noticed that there are a handful of girls on here that are engaged and planning their wedding, so I thought I'd start a thread!

Do you have any questions about your big day that one of us might be able to help you with? Concerns? Anything! We can all help each other.

I'm not engaged, my have done my fair share of helping with wedding plans so I thought I'd chime in. Project Wedding is a site that my cousin and her sister both adored while planning their wedding. It's got LOADS of info, plus forums where brides to be share their ideas, pics, questions, and even follow up after wedding to show talk about honeymoons, etc.

    Good luck ladies.

I personally like using The Knot. I like the "tools" better than Project Wedding, but to each their own - either site has plenty of helpful tips and ideas! Heck, sign up for both! It's free!

One tip that has helped me out is to think outside the wedding box when it comes to planning and you can save a lot on cost. As I discussed with ccraig, you'll notice that anything tailored specifically for "weddings" is instantly marked up in price, even if it isn't a wedding-specific item. So you're looking for some nice string lights as decorations? The instant you look for them as "wedding decorations" you're paying more. Look for "string lights" or "party lights" and the price for the same thing is MUCH lower, both in store and online. Same goes for favors, flowers, apparel, etc, etc.
