I grew up in several small towns but you could always tell whose parents were "rich" by the way the teachers kissed their butts. Kids from wealthy families got treated much "better" when the teachers were handing out "privilages" like "starring in the school play" etc. If you think back as to who got the "good stuff' and who didn't.AND then put it with who had money behind them. Who got to be "team capt. etc" while ability and merit did count..when "push came to shove" on discretionary calls- kids from moneied families got the nod a lot more often than not.
I always thought kids were rich when they got named brand oreos instead of the store knock off, LOL
~Today, any person can fight the battles of one day It is only when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternity's- yesterday and tomorrow, that we break down. It is not the experience of today that drives people mad. It is the remorse of bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.
Let us therefore, live but one day at a time.~
