Funny situation - my Rabbit is not gay

So, I joined a group on facebook, The Rabbit Patch, actually invited them to come and join us on WH

As a few of you know, I have two lop rabbits, Jet & KD, brothers.. They were bought for my step-daughter, as she begged, but pfttttt, guess who cleans, up, feeds, and cuddles

In any event, one is very dominant and has always chaced the other away, when food is presented, or I am present.

The dominant one, loves to chace the broom around in circles, then counter clockwise, seriously it's funny to watch.However, he tends to squirt as well, like whats with that?

So I asked the Rabbit Patch whether desexing him would be a good idea..

It usually does. He is circling you because he wants to mate you and you are the object of his desire. Neutering takes away sexual urges, spraying and territoral behaviour (most of the time). They are more content and settled when desexed, I could imagine being a sexually frustrated buck would not be much fun. : ) Hope it goes well for you.

lols, I seriously started laughing and wrote back, "what he prefers a tall blonde woman?" At least I know he's not gay...

Thought that I would share this with you, in-case there are any other people out there that own rabbits .

When I was around 25, I adobted a "girl" rabbit, bought it home. She saw the cat use the kitty litter, on day one, walked over, smelt it, used it and from then on, would go to the kitty litter everytime. Consequently, she became an indoor rabbit, slept on my bed, on the lounge with me and played with the cat. She began to love "cats" and thought she was one, I am confinced, I stopped her from digging holes, but I had trouble building a fence high enough that she could not jump... I would constantly have neighbours knocking on my door, er herm, ex-cuse me, your rabbit is in our front yard again with the cats, or across the road eating their veggie patch lols.

Do you guys have any strange or un-usual pet stories?

On my 50th Birthday, my oldest daughter bought me a Grey long haired Rabbit. Why ? She said it matched our grey Cat.

As it was I didn't need or want a Rabbit, I used to have two of them In Kentucky, one was Named "Dinner " the other was " Road Kill ". Anyway, they were left with Family In KY.

Not like I needed anymore Pets as it was I had 6 Cocateils, 2 Conure's, a Gerbil, 3 snakes, Mice ( Snake Food ) a Pet Rat ( not Snake Food ) 2 Cats . a Gecko and my Fish.

So she brings me this Rabbit, said it was a Female and she Named it Thumper after Thumper in Bambi.
The problem was, Thumper kept trying to Mate with my female Cat, It chased the cat everywhere, Cat got on Couch, Thumper Got on Couch.

It was Renamed " Humper " , After a week of the Sexual Harassment, I took it back to the pet Store she had bought it from . They said, as the Receipt said . NO Refunds on Bunnies.

I got an In Store Credit anyway, because the Receipt said " Female " and Humper had 2 lil Dingle Balls that dropped during the week I had Him ..

Well see, all you had to do was get him desexed

I'm glad though as I bet the snake would have eventually found a way to eat him

Naw, My Snakes were Ball Python's, they only get to 6 foot. Now My 10 1/2 ft Burmese that I had .. Lil Humper would have been a Snack for Him .. lol

I seriously had to Downsize the Pets, now only have the Fish and the 2 Cats.
