That was mean't to be "who" not has twice, it's fast Nickr posting before I get to alter it![]()
There is always a person, a quote, a belief, a song, or something that has made us believe and turned our life around.
Maybe you haven't found it yet
But, if you were to name something that has changed your life what would it be?
Do we not realise that in order to find a soul
It doesn't happen over night
if truth were to be told.
Like everything in life that's hard to achieve
you must believe!

- When I read "The Picture of Dorian Gray" and "Crime and Punishment" as a teenager I felt that we can escape anything but we can never escape ourselves. It's very important to feel good about ourselves (and that meant a lot to me as a teenager, with all that teenagers go through). These two books and their message will always stay with me and I do feel they changed my worldview back then.
- An abusive ex-boyfriend made me quit my studies, but I ended up studying something totally different which I enjoyed a lot more and was what I always wanted to study. Wouldn't have gone for that if it hadn't been for him.
- My father's heart attack, which nearly cost him his life, made me realize I should never take my family for granted, always be there for them and always kiss them goodbye.
- My grandmother's death made me want to live every day to its fullest and treat every second spent with a loved one or a friend like the last second I'll ever spend with them (and that includes pets as well).
- Breaking up with my ex and losing 70% of my personal belongings (which I greatly valued) made me not care about material things anymore. Objects can be lost at any point and I'm not emotionally attached to objects anymore. As long as me and my loved ones are healthy I'm happy enough.
- An old crush of mine from over 10 years ago who returned after all these years, made me believe that when we truly set a goal with our heart then it's only bound to happen, no matter how long it may take. Doesn't matter if it'll lead to anything or not, but just that it happened gave me a lot of faith in life itself and future goals.
There are quotes, songs, other smaller things, but these situations changed me a lot for the better, made me believe, and none of them was easy to deal with (well, except for the books).
Wow, that's inspiring, it truly is...
It strengthens my point of life's lessons as well as there is positives in every negative..
I was trying to create some positive threads that night haha, should have answered myself.
As a child, having a variety of alternative pets, including alot of strays, made me realise that pets do not need to be caged, any pet can be tought to live openly in an environment and never be caged... And I went on to have such animals and gave them that freedom, including the rabbit I had that lived inside and used a kitty litter tray. That it was "man made" this cage situation.
As a teenager, I saw alot of un-explained things, which could be scientific but to me I saw otherwise. It made me realise I had a gift, or a few gifts that gave me peace and understanding and the desire to share that with others throughout my life in hope it helps them.. It made me who I am today.
As a young adult, I learnt communication, compassion and understanding from my Grandmother which has enabled me to understand people for who they are, as well as understand whom not to follow and whom to walk beside.
In careers I learn't from one Man whom stated I was like him from the 'gutters' meaning no written learning, rather there and then learning and he was my Mentor without his directions I wouldn't have had all the careers and success I have had.
Boyfriends? I learnt what love truly was from one, yet I left him after 4 years as we were going in different directions but he taught me what to look for.
Volunteering - I volunteered for service to youth - street kids - homeless - it gave me the understanding of a simple hand, smile, a dollar, can do the world to change a teenagers life .
As a wife, I learnt that two people must give equally or else there is no marriage.
As me now - I've learnt that you smile in the knowing of whom you are.. it's a beautiful place to be in
