So how is the gang here planning on celebrating the New Year?

    Any New Year's Eve plans?

Any goals or resolutions, or reflections you'll be taking with you as we begin this journey into 2012?

New Years Day is my birthday so there will be two celebrations that day!
My husband and I are joining a local 24/7 gym here in town next week. I look forward to throwing myself in the world of training to get my figure back from before I got pregnant!
    Bring it on 2012!

I am going to try to do a plate weight program with the husband at the gym.

There is this work out that you do X amount of cardio per day, and weights after. You start with the same amount of plates on each machine, and rotate upper and lower body.
Every two weeks, you should be able to move up your plate count.
The husband is starting with 5 plates, I am starting with 2.

Sounds like some great fitness goals, gals! And Wyo that's pretty awesome that you get to celebrate the New Year and your birthday! What a fun way to ring in the new year and the new age

As for me.. NYE I don't plan to do much this year. I'm still tired from all the festivities in December! Christmas parties galore with work and friends and family.. I am looking forward to a nice relaxed weekend. The fiance and I may get really adventurous and try out a new restaurant Saturday night, but I wouldn't be surprised if I'm cozied up in bed before 12:00 strikes!

Reflections and Resolutions... Well, this year I really learned a lot more about myself.. figuring out what I'm willing to accept and what I'm not, what I'm able to change and what I'm not, and learning to be happy with that. I was pretty cynical about work this year, or at least since the summer, and to at least keep peace of mind for the hours I'm working I need to focus on the things I love about my job and the company I work for, and perhaps that will help me to let go of the aspects I'm less than pleased with.

2011 I really buckled down on fitness and health, changing my diet, exercising regularly and pushing myself, completing my first sprint triathlon and a 5k mudrace. It has been great and is something I'm going to continue to do into the new year! 2012 I think will be focused a bit on charitable causes. I would like to do a few things within the community, volunteering with an organization, or forging my own charitable path. The sky is the limit, so it's time for me to get creative!

2012 will also be the year I become a wife. I don't know what that will all entail or if it will even be any different than what we already are, having been together for nearly a decade. Only time will tell, but I think whatever changes may come to our relationship, they'll be positive And I'm looking forward to what this new journey has to offer us!

I'll just be waiting for the apocalypse so I won't have to pay back my students loans. LOL

Haha, kristalyn!! I've started on my goals early this year to try to really keep them (the three I've made) - one is start jogging again, it's been so warm in Boston this winter, that was good so far, but it's getting cold and I'm not a gym person. I'm going to start keeping in touch with friends through actual cards and letters, bringing it back to the Pony Express times! Finally, and most importantly, I'm going to participate on this forum again. When I first joined I couldn't get enough, then I just got busy, but this is a good time to spend for me, and there are so many great folks here.

    Have a wonderful Birthday, Wyo!

I'm sure we will be swapping stories about working out! Hopefully only successful ones for 2012!

Hiya K Good luck with that, I predict a great job coming your way, you are referred or someone refers you, or something like that, then I predict some other new ventures and venturing outside that house of yours

CD is working... Last year I sat on my own till 11pm, then we watched fireworks, helped clean up, still with a glass in hand and walked to the motel, 2am, got up at 5.30am to go home to give Kia her insulin... This year I went pftttt call me at midnight wake me up that's cool, I'll come down to the Motel at 8.30am and have breakfast with you

I'm loving the ending of this year, it's been a struggle and so many changes but all for the good, so I'm looking forward to handling all of this myself for the first time and starting a few new things... I love my shop, why I didn't think of turning a dull office into a shop with lounge and plants and crystals, water fountains, chandelier and home goods for sale or hire, IDK... It feels good to work from there. It's 2 minute walk to the beach so I intend to shut up for half an hour (me shut up?) anyways, and walk the beach daily... Be more at peace...

I'd like to say quit smoking but maybe from the walks, then start the gym just for toning as I'm gettttting olllld, maybe I'll achieve that too...

I have to remember though to add blogs to my realestate site.... A VM once a week by anyone will help haha.
