AWESOME -Is everybody else sick of the serial use of this word?
I keep hearing this word being used in mundane situations and it is really getting on my nerves! (mostly it is imported on films from the U.S) Does everybody else feel the same?
(Today I posted a letter - AWESOME MAN!!!)
(p.s is it illegal to strangle anyone who uses "awesome" again?)

I say it frequently and hear it everywhere. It doesn't bother me at all. Like all slang it will eventually fade out and a new word will take its place.

I say wicked a lot more than I say awesome, though I still say awesome quite a bit. The new one popping up lately that really irks me is "bro", or as the guys say it "brah"...all it is "yo brah that was wicked" "brah brah brah don't shoot over there shot this bad guy!", "yeah brah we got it done"...stop it you are not cool.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.
My nieces and nephews do the same

Awesome is a word that people say to something they think is out of their "Word " for anything they cannot Describe in a Feeling.

Check and now at this young 56 it's the word " Nice".
Nice is the end of a conversation.
When you are conversing with a person and you say " nice" it does mean I want you or other things,
It is not a flirt, It's Nice .
it's a thought.
We must remember, Nice is just a thought .
