Becoming more and more obsessed with me new pet. :)

So a month or two back myself and Bear just decided to go to Petsmart here in Massachusetts (because we are still here due to his job, lol) in an attempt to pass the time and plus we both love animals. We checked out the bird section, made fun of the birds that were in this one cage and ALL of them were just chillin' out on one branch, there were about a dozen or two birds in that cage. Checked out the adoption center for cats, went to rodents (aka Small Animals, I've always just viewed it as rodents even when I worked at Petco.) and finally we get to reptiles.

He decided, "I'm going to buy a snake." I don't mind snakes, I used to chase my mom with snakes as a child when I found them out in the wild. >> I was unaware that some of the snakes near my home were poisonous when I was that young age though, lol. I would've been more cautious if I had known. Anywho, we go into Petsmart without any attention of getting anything and to just blow some time and we leave after blowing almost 300$ after purchasing all the required items for our baby Ball Python.

I just finished feeding her an hour or two ago and shes just chillin' out under her heat lamp warming herself up. (We aren't sure what sex the snake is because Petsmart apparently doesn't sex their snakes before selling them, so we just picked a sex and stuck with it and eventually we'll have her sexed so we know for sure what sex the snake is xD)

Congratulations on being a new mom! What is her name? Please post pictures of her! Did you feed her live mice?

We haven't decided on naming the snake yet because we aren't sure its a female, we just chose a sex because it was weird going back and forth between calling the snake 'him' and 'her'. We don't currently feed her live mice, we don't want her super aggressive but we do intend to let her have the thrill of a live meal a few times in her lifespan, just not very many, lol. All of my photos are on my phone so I would have to get back to you on that one. :3

I heard of feeding snakes frozen mice, is that what you feed her? I like snakes, but I can't stand the vision of them eating live prey.

That is what I fed her, however they are thawed out and warmed up in warm water (not boiling and NEVER microwave them, lol.) before I fed them to her.
