You're correct, some people may have other motives than to shield you. The b****ing at you because you have an opinion can happen to you or anyone at any age - anywhere. Your age in this case has been used with you. One's intelligence or maturity is not always determined by one's age. You seem to have a strong since of who you are. Just be you. NO ONE can do that better than you! I appreciate you. Until you're told differently I would cautiously offer that you have a right to express yourself.

The non-PC crowd will always appreciate when the truth is spoken, regardless of by whom.
