    my little girl is seven. this moring i found what seems 2 be her soft spot still on her head. is this normal.

    i would think it would of closed up by now. my son is seven and his skull is completly formed and he has no soft spots anywhere on his head. i would lean on the side that it is unusual for her to have a soft spot still. i would consult with a doctor on this one.

    I think I would take her to her pediatrician and have it checked out just to make sure that it is not what you suspect. According to what I read the skull should be closed around the age of three.

    Copied from Wikipedia - While the posterior and lateral fontanelles are obliterated by about six months after birth, the anterior is not completely closed until about the middle of the second year. Full ossification starts in the late twenties and finishes before the age of 50.

    thank you i have one other question? could this cause her 2 have headaches?
