Silly question about socks at the DR.
Ok, very silly, but my friend and I were talking about the wonderful annual exam, and we discovered that we both try to wear cute socks to our visit. Maybe cause it's the only personal thing kept on, or something the doctor can notice other than all of your business hanging out. Are we nuts or is this something anyone else does? If so, what socks do you wear? I usually wear my favorite comfy socks that are grey with cows on them!

Comfortable Thick
First, no matter what go age appropriate. If you're pretty young go for the trendy cute is fine, but never ever no mater what age or situation wear holiday sox, toes sox, or nylons. If it's hot I bring a nice pair of thick white athletic sox that are really really cushy and go slightly above ankle so that metal doesn't freeze you! Never try to do the flip flop thing, it simply won't work. If it's freezing weather outside bring the Eddie Bauer or Cabella's style thick hiking sox. They are awesome. Just bring the pair with in your purse or bag and put on fresh there.
Yes, different question, but health care workers really appreciate it when you do little extra things to make their life easier like the dentist who has a clean mouth that had mouthwash and a brush right before coming in, or just plain keeping track of "the first day of your last period" so they don't have to pull out that over-used calendar is nice for them. One less step is great. Take medications? If you can just bring the bottle so they can see what it is who dispensed it and how much you are taking. It's the little things that count
