Hello Everyone!
I am mailing some muffins for a friend in another state. I have no clue about mailing food. I would like to know if anyone has any experience in mailing food? I will be calling my post office to get more info, however, i would like some ideas on how to do the packaging. What do i put the muffins in so it can stay fresh and not get all smushed? Thanks!

If you can put them in a tin container or box and double box it would help. Wrapping each one of them separately should help keep them from being smashed. The USPO has one size boxes that are a flat rate which helps as far as shipping. They are one price so weight means nothing...Check it out at your local post office as that way you can put as much weight as you want into one box and it will not cost more to ship....We ship all over the world but this would apply to anywhere in the USA. Just ask for flat rate. Hope this helps...xox Caroline

Forgot, they will ask you if it is liquid or perishable and just tell them no as muffins are not really perishable....At least not in my opinion...The only thing bad to ship this time of the year is candy and cheese as they may sit in the PO for too long a time. What I have spoke above is Priority Shipping and then if you want to you add 50 cents for confirmation that your order got there....Guess that is it....

I think i'll do the priority shipping. The container sounds like a good idea. Do i wrap the muffins in plastic wrap though? Or is there something made especially to wrap them?

I would think plastic wrap would work out fine. Priority shipping does get better and faster handling and chances are they will receive it within two days...Best Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday allowing them travel time with Sunday being closed....Hope this helps...TC, C
