Ya know technically this is bypassing the profanity filter but that is really a glitch in this case - over filtering. So we'll leave it be.

In the practice of law we often refer to motions asking a judge for a specific type of relief by the case most often cited as "authority " for why or if a Judge should do that specfic thing. As in State v. Foulenfaunt (NM Supreme Ct. Case) for a motion dismissing a criminal case because the State cannot prove an essential element of the "crime". A larceny case where the property alleged to be stolen there is no proof that the person claiming the theft ever owned the item in question. That case would be subject to a "Foulenfaunt Motion". So the "joke" making the rounds in the local criminal justice system was a client- discontent with the Stae's "plea offer"- wanted his attorney to file a "YUGO Motion"; which drew blank looks from most of the criminal defense bar. We had no idea what a "YUGO Motion" was or even what Court (US SUREME COURT? NM SUPREME COURT? one of the "appellate" lower courts?) "YUGO" was from.

The 'client' then explained that he wanted a "Motion" telling the District Attorney " YOU GO*something* Yourself! a YUGO MOTION.

I was hoping that one would slide. That half the word would be offensive by itself, but together it's just funny. Lol
